Madison Nicole May
Madison Nicole May is an interdisciplinary artist in Chicago, IL. She attends the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in pursuit of a Master of Fine Arts degree in Printmedia. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Printmaking from Kendall College of Art and Design (2016) in Grand Rapids, MI. She has held the title of Gallery Assistant at The Fed Galleries, and Printshop Technician & Continuing Studies Instructor at Kendall College of Art and Design. In 2017 May opened Bend Gallery, a not-for-profit contemporary art gallery, which also hosted the artist collective she co-founded, Good Manufacturing Artist’s Co - the space ran successfully for three and a half years with monthly First Friday gallery exhibitions.
Her work has been exhibited both locally and nationally in exhibitions such as Rinse/Repeat, Juried Exhibition at the Ann Arbor Art Center, (Ann Arbor, MI), The 39th Annual Paper In Particular National Exhibition, Juried Exhibition at the Sidney Larson Gallery, (Columbia, MO), and Four Rivers Print Biennial, Juried by David Jones at Southern Illinois Printworks, (Carbondale, IL). She has been a visiting artist at the Lamont Gallery in Exeter, NH and has been an artist in residence at Zea Mays Printmaking in Florence, MA.
